Game Freak gave gamers a world premiere look at some of the new Scarlet and Violet Pokemon that will be making their way in the game’s newest expansion. With the DLC releasing on September 13, what kind and how many new Pokemon are in The Teal Mask DLC?
The Teal Mask DLC
With both the addition of The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, there will be 4 new Pokemon joining the game’s roster. While these Pokemon are new to the series players have seen these Pokemon before. Two of the Pokemon are the evolved forms of existing species while on the other hand, the other two are the Paradox versions of Legendary Pokemon from past games.
The newest Pokemon to be showcased for the Teal Mask DLC will be the evolved Pokemon Dipplin. For those who don’t know, Dipplin is actually the evolved form of Applin the Grass/Dragon-type Pokemon. Dipplins description is “The one sticking out its head & the one sticking out its tail seem to help each other and live in the apple together.” Dipplin’s abilities are Syrup Bomb and Sweet Honey. Syrup Bomb is a Grass-type Special Move that explodes the syrup making the opponent covered in candy. This move continuously lowers their speed for 3 turns. Sweet Honey spreads the scent of honey and lowers the opponent’s evasion rate when entering the field.
The Indigo Disk DLC
This Winter players can expect to see Archaludon, Raging Bolt, and Iron Crown with this new DLC. Archaludon is a Steel/Dragon-type which evolves from Duraludon. This Pokemon has the move Electro Beam a 2-move Electric-type Special Move that collects a lot of electricity and shoots out high-voltage electricity. When the weather is rainy, it can be fired immediately without accumulating electricity
The Pokemon that received new Paradox forms, are Paradox Cobalion and Paradox Raikou. While not much information is yet revealed about these two Pokemon we do have screenshots and names. Paradox Cobalion will be called Iron Crown and Paradox Raikou is called Raging Bolt
