Hello, trainers. A new update is coming to the game that may help with players needing new places to go in the game. This piece will go into the new Routes feature coming to Pokémon GO.
Niantic Introduces the Routes Feature on July 21
Pokémon GO will be enacting a new Routes features starting on July 21. Essentially, the gimmick of this new feature is for Trainers to post their local routes and play areas for other players to see and trace. The company hopes that this will allow players to go to new areas, find new Pokemon, make new friends, and more.
On their news site, Pokémon GO has multiple pages to educate people about the juiciness of their new update. The site has this information listed:
Record Your Own Route And Explore Other Trainers’ Routes
When playing, pick a PokéStop to start mapping from. Once a player has started recording, they can walk around their neighborhood and town and capture every detail about their route. Once the recording is done, trainers will get to fill in some info about their route and post it. Other trainers will then be able to find and follow it.
If players want to explore routes created by other trainers, they first have to click the route tab in the Nearby Menu. They then simply pick a route and enjoy. The update is rather simple and as with most Pokémon GO features.
Who Wants Bonuses?
Players can also get a variety of bonuses for exploring routes successfully the first time and in general. They are as follows:
Players who finish a route completely can get a route badge for the first time
Players can earn buddy candy faster on routes than playing freely
When doing a route for the first time, Pokémon will be more attracted to incense
Earn an XP bonus for the first route you complete each day. After completing routes for seven days, you’ll receive an increased XP bonus
Lastly, players can earn a Buddy Heart when they complete a Route while adventuring with their buddy!
Similar to the Daily Incense and Team Up Updates, this is something trainers should prepare to take advantage of as soon as it drops.
Conclusion
The new Routes feature will make Pokémon GO improve in terms of the duration of playing sessions. Players will now feel a new sense of direction as they use routes to mark their progress. It also gives them more goals to make for playing the game. Get out there and leaves marks on the AR map, players.
